OMG Dinosaur

In the middle, two rows after the title (one row under the director credit. I'm really excited to see this. I finally got around to watching The Thin Red Line and it was as good as its reputation suggests. Tree of Life seems to be even more ambitious, but Malick has shown he can pull something like this off). Apparently the film will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May, so we'll get to find out then. Here's the trailer to give you a better idea:

What I like the best, or rather what excites me the most, about thie film is that I read an article about the special effects and it said that he (Malick) has been working on this film since the 1970's.

Oh, here's the new official website for the film (with a better picture).

Eleganza

My Etsy store is LIVE! I love these magnets, as dragtastic as they are. Hopefully someone will buy some. I had no idea what to call the store or how to price the items, but I think I did a fair job.

Favorite Things (no. 1)

I plan on making these posts a regular thing, but as a list. However, for the first one I can't help but give this lady the whole thing.

Book Covers desgined by Coralie Bickford-Smith.

I first saw her work on the Design Sponge website several years ago. She is a designer for Penguin Books in the UK, but now her designs are available here in the US as well.

I'm particularly fond of her Boy's Adventures and Sherlock Holmes series, but her Recovered Classics seem to be the most popular. Now, in April she has a new collection of books about food that are just beautiful (and smart--the patterns used come from the period when the book was written).

You can see more of her work on her website and purchase almost all of her designs on Amazon (just type in her name).

Jams (no. 1)

How else to kick off the start of a new blog than with some music!

Fun Fact: "There's Joy Somewhere" was one of the names considered for this blog.
